A luckless, rescued cat is helped by an unlikely mentor, Gunny Mouse, on his journey from bungler to hero.

Mr. Cat, once an adorable stray kitten, has grown into a lazy cat who makes poor life choices, from his choice of friends (a bunch of slackers) to his choice of entertainment (wasting hours scrolling for lion videos). He's such a failure, he can't even catch mice!

But he wants to be a good cat. He wants to be a hero.

So when his owner, Mr. Man, gets frustrated and tells him to get a flippin' job, Mr. Cat finds an unlikely mentor in the tough and wise Gunny Mouse.

Will Gunny Mouse be able to help Mr. Cat get squared away before Mr. Man kicks him out?

About the Author

I attended the University of Illinois Champaign/Urbana, received a B.S. in Computer Engineering, and worked as an engineer for almost three decades. But I also have a wide range of interests (and many jobs!) that have provided fodder for my writing—I was an MC at a comedy club, I play the ukulele, and I train in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. But this book draws mainly on my time in the Marine Corps—where I served as aircrew on C-130 cargo planes and traveled the world—and also on my time as a father to four children who, I'm sorry to report, at times had a father more like the impatient Mr. Man rather than a sage like Gunny Mouse. Thankfully, they all have flippin' jobs now and still talk to me.
